The starting setup
Bicycle uses a standard 52-card deck and a five-card deal. The remaining cards form a stock beside a face-up starter. In that account, an eight turned as starter is replaced.
Make the layout easy to read
During teaching, leave distinct spaces for the stock, the played pile and each player’s hand. Ask a learner to point to the pile they mean before moving a card. Clear labels can prevent a discussion about the wrong part of the table.
